The Brown County Historical Society proudly presents John D. White as their entry for the Fall Back into Time contest.
John D. White was born in Virginia in 1796 and in 1825 moved to Georgetown, Ohio. He was a surveyor, but left his mark on the world as a teacher. His students went on to become generals, admirals, congressmen, physicians, and Ulysses S. Grant became President of the United States. Robert Boyd, a retired teacher, keeps John D. alive.
