Ulysses S. Grant was born April 27th 1822 at Pt. Pleasant Clermont County, Ohio. He moved to Georgetown in Brown County and lived there 16years, longer than he lived anywhere else. During the Civil War he rose to the rank of Lt. General of the Army. He was elected 18th President of the United States and served two terms, 1868-1876.
